And the Oscar Goes To....

I am such a huge fan of movies! Good movies, okay movies, great movies...I like them all! So naturally my favorite awards show is the Academy Awards, otherwise known as the Oscars. This year we will celebrate the 82nd Academy Awards and I have planned a delicious finger food style menu inspired by several nominees! Unfortunately, I forgot to buy the champagne...

BLUE Cheese Crostini, inspired by the Na'vi people in the film Avatar which has been nominated in 9 categories including Best Picture, Directing and Visual Effects. 

BBQ Sweet Potato Fries, inspired by the Memphis set Best Film nominee The Blind Side.

Julia Child's Stuffed Mushrooms, inspired by Best Actress nominee Meryl Streep's performance in Julie & Julia.

Coffee Chocolate Cream Cheese Crop Circle Brownies, inspired by the alien film District 9. 

And of course Milk with our brownies, in celebration of my favorite film, Inglorious Basterds.
